New paintings - playing with mountains

Been having a crack at photo-realism of mountains/foothills, which is one of the styles that first got me interested in the first place. The squarer painting is of Tekapo, the more rectangular of St Bathans Range in Otago - this one was going to have a foreground but I abandoned that idea because I didn't want to distract from the boldness of the nearer hills...
